Silverton Chocolate & Gourmet Wine Pairing Seminar
Silverton Chocolates' Josh Galloway will discuss the steps necessary to examine the attributes of fine, small-batch, artisan chocolates and wines from around the world. Learn how best to note the aroma, assess the snap when you break it and check the shine and glossiness of each chocolate. Discover how to note the flavors of both the wine and chocolate as they are released in stages. Pairings will include dark, bitter sweet and semisweet chocolates with full-bodied wines. Lighter wines will be paired up with milk chocolates from varying terroirs. This is a don't miss event as all participants will go home with expert advice, instructions sheet for your own pairing parties and more. Special winery guest Stewart Vandenberg from Alexander Valley Vineyards.

Join Anne Hay, CSW, CWE, WSET Diploma and Ashley Rowe from Majestic Fine Wines as they break down the art of wine blending. See just how different single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon grapes taste on their own, versus together. Five Blocks of Cabernet from Knights Valley, Cougar Ridge, Ram Ridge, Buckeye Vineyard & Stagecoach Vineyard. Play winemaker with pipettes for an hour as you experiment with cask samples to make your own award winning California Cabernet blend.
Chef Dave Cuntz, of the Mahogany Grille, will provide light appetizers.
