Our Mission Statement:
THE DURANGO WINE EXPERIENCE, INC.
  is organized for the following purposes: To enhance the charitable, cultural, educational and economic development of the Durango, Colorado area.
To provide educational programs to attendees: to explore the historical impacts of viniculture on the different world cultures and societies; to increase awareness and interest in and  provide a better understanding of new and developing aspects of wine production and consumption; to discuss recent trends and changes in winemaking philosophy and techniques; and to explore the relationship between winemaking and wine consumption and the culinary arts.
To provide a forum for winemakers to showcase new and existing products. To raise money for chosen local charities and non-profits.

For the last ten years, all net proceeds have gone to a local Durango non-profit. The beneficiary for the last several years has been the United Way of Southwest Colorado.

In 2011, the Durango Wine Experience Board presented the United Way with a $10,000 check at their radio-thon in September!

The Durango Wine Experience is supported by our wonderful sponsors and a marketing grant from the Durango Business Improvement District and Durango Area Tourism Office.

The first weekend of every May, the Durango Wine Experience brings over one thousand people to downtown Durango.  Known for its extreme adventures, world class biking, blue ribbon water, the Durango-Silverton Narrow Gauge train, Mesa Verde National Park, Fort Lewis College and a great mountain setting; Durango, Colorado has found its place in the wine world!

With more population than Telluride, Aspen & Vail combined; Durango, Colorado is the perfect place for a wine experience.
Join us for three glorious days of educational seminars, wine dinners and unique tastings. Experience hundreds of wineries, artisan spirits and craft beers from around the world. We have multiple Wine Spectator acclaimed restaurants, with over 50 licensed establishments. Durango’s top Chefs are featured at the Grand Tasting Restaurant Showcase. There are over 600 Hotel Rooms, 200 galleries, boutiques & shops, all Downtown Durango, Colorado.
